One could consider this task easy. Carefully setting his hands across the device, seeing where it fit properly and where it didn't. It wasn't until he threw the pencil down and ruffled his hair did he get overly frustrated with it. Boredom was already taking over the teenager. Specially since Halloween was approaching and all the other creatures and citizens of Lockwood were getting ready to celebrate the day. Something as faction created by the humans before the earth was destroyed but the prince still didn't understand it. To get dressed up in costumes and be someone else, to gain candy. What was the point of that. He sighed at the thought, his black tail flicking back and forth. There was still a lot of paperwork to get done, and he still had to get ready for the night of Halloween with the speech his mother had wanted him to convey to the citizens. Being Prince wasn't always so happy go lucky, there were things he would rather avoid doing.

Hajime stood up and stretched, flicking his sensitive ears when he heard someone from outside of the main office that he was in. Taking over for his mother while she was out. The Queen was a rather busy girl, he didn't get how she could rule a kingdom and still go around messing around like she did.  Placing his right hand on the desk and the other on his hip his chains around his neck made their same metallic noise as they always did. Though when the small trinket of a sword came from the side of his neck he used his left hand to catch it and sit back into his chair as he observed it. As soon as he heard a knock on the door, he sighed knowing that it was coming and let go of his trinket swiftly heading towards the door.

Coming towards the door he used his left hand to open it, to find his uncle holding another neko by the collar of his shirt. Hajime narrowed his eyes, he had never seen this citizen before, and opened his door for the two to enter. Allen(Hajime’s Uncle), placed the blonde neko on the desk before Hajime closed the door behind him. Looking at the older and taller white haired man, placed a hand on his hand and other on his waist. The other neko boy looked around his age, with blonde hair reaching just below his ears. His ears were littered with small spots of a leopard, soft and fluffy, as it was for his tail as well, although they were black so that spots were not that noticeable. With deep green eyes he looked down as he flicked his tail on the desk.

“Hajime I’d like you to babysit this boy until after Halloween tonight.” Allen said it right out as Hajime trailed his hand down his face. He honestly didn’t want to be stuck with a troublemaker for the night, why was the boy here anyway?

“Why, who the hell is he anyway?” Hajime exclaimed as the boy winced pulling his hands together. The prince sighed and walked closer to him flicking his black tail back and forth, his red eyes looked over the boy.

“That’s up to you to find out, I couldn’t find any background on him at all. So take him around, try to get him to trust you. You’re a good boy after all. I can handle the Halloween party for you. Just at least get him to tell you his name.” Allen started, just as he picked up a paper on the prince’s desk and left the room. Leaving Hajime and the other boy alone in the room.

The boy looked up at Hajime, ears pinned to the side of his hair. Hajime sighed in frustration as he sat down in a chair, chains rattling as he placed his own hands together. What was he going to do with him? Suddenly his uncle bursts through, gives him this boy to take care of, and runs off to handle his own official stuff. How the hell was he suppose to make him trust him, after all, Allen decided to yell it out loud. At this point, the boy was terrified, probably of going to jail. Even though that wasn’t how things worked in this country, he wasn’t giving people trouble. Maybe Allen left him here simply because he also had ears and a tail? There was a big difference though, Hajime was a demon, this boy was probably a normal neko.

“Sooo…...How old are you?” Hajime asked softly, the boy only lowered his head more.

“Seventeen.” He mumbled, now they were getting somewhere, well it was a start at least.

“Well then uh, me too, so do you have a name? I’m Hajime Walker, the prince of Lockwood.” Hajime tried to offer a smile, showing off his frontal fangs to the boy. Who still didn’t make eye contact with him.

“Why should I tell you.” He commented crossing his arms, flinging his tail against his waist. Hajime sighed and stood up placing his hands on his hips.

“I’m not going to hurt you, my uncle is just a bit rough, come on let’s take a walk.” Hajime opened the door, letting the shorter boy stand up and walk out. Before long they were out on the street, the sun high in the sky as they walked out into the snow. Hajime started to walk towards the park down the left street.

After a few minutes they were at an empty park, right near where the cemetery was. Snow covering the ground, considering the way the planets weather worked. The two sat on a bench just outside of the gate surrounding the graveyard. The other neko looked up at Hajime, his green eyes glinting with the sun setting.

“You asked about my name earlier” The boy spoke. As Hajime pulled his hands behind his neck.

“Yeah?”

“I don’t have one.” The prince shot up and raised an eyebrow.

“Don’t have one, why not?” The boy gave a shrug to the other neko.

“I don’t have any family, so I guess I just never got one. I’m a stray cat.” He mused. As Hajime placed his hands on his hips, and gave a small smirk.

“Well why don’t we give you one then?” He crossed his arms, his trinkets around his neck moving around. The boy looked at Hajime with a glad expression written all over his face.
“Okay!” He jumped up excited, his black tail flicking back and forth behind him. Hajime patted him on the top of his blonde set of hair.

“How about Jinx?”

“Jinx!” The small boy jumped up and down excitedly. Hajime gave a soft chuckle, then looked at the dimming lights, and porch lights of the houses lighting up.

“Come on, why don’t we watch the children?” The king made room for Jinx to pass him, but the boy clung to his arm. Hajime blushed a bit, but didn’t entirely mind it. As they walked further along the children were dressed up in various costumes. Even the small cubs of species who didn’t have human forms wore all sorts of costumes. Hajime sat on the steps of the city hall as Jinx still holding onto him watched the festival go on as well.

The city was filled with all sorts of colors and lights he could nearly not believe it. Though when the night began to grow to a close, Jinx lowered his ears sadly. The prince looked over at the boy, and blinked. “What’s wrong.” He asked softly.

“I have to go Hajime.” Jinx said, looking up at the prince. Hajime was slightly confused, petting the boy on the head. Jinx grabbed onto his shirts collar and pulled him closer. They were nose to nose, as he softly pressed his lips against Hajime’s. The prince was surprised if anything, pulling back slightly. But then reaching back in for the kiss, as a soft green light covered the boy. As Hajime looked away, a small black spotted cat sat in front of him. It gave a meow before bounding off into the forest.
Okay, this is really really late and over due xD. But I FINISHED IT. ITS NOT VERY GOOD BUT AT LEAST I ENTERED. This is for a contest. And the characters are all mine.
