Those voices told me over and over again I wasn't going anywhere. That I was repeating the same steps over and over again, and that I was playing the game wrong. You might call me crazy, because, maybe I am. That I'm trying to forget, that I'm trying to have a selective memory, which I never could have in the first place. There were  things I honestly wanted to forget, things that shouldn't have ever happens, things I should have never done, things I regret. And that was why the punishment of eternal life, was more then I could have asked more in the end. So as I stood on the top of the cliff, I watched the birds fly on the skyward wind. As my hazel eyes watched the forest, watched the city in it's small section. The cliff near the lake overhanging it almost like a monstrous beast. What made this my home?

My hand scraped along then, the small wolf crystal around my neck, the bright color of purple. Then, I looked at my right hand, the small golden ring with five little diamonds embedded in it. The fifth above the other four. On my ring finger. I found it funny how I was torturing myself, but then again, maybe torturing others was the way I handled things as well. Pulling the ring up to the sunlight, I watched as it glistened reminding me of every moment, every past thing, and all the history I had. Sometimes, how could I ever think about forgetting. I sighed and sat down at the edge of the cliff. My feet dangled off the edge, where it was around a fifty foot drop, maybe even more. This was my favorite spot, unless I was up in the air while training.

"This is the second time today you've run out on everyone" I turned my head, to see the transparent figure of Devious. Walking towards me with his purple hair falling over his face. The manifest of emotions sat next to me and crossed his arms. I wondered why he stuck around me so much.

"I've never been one for the official stuff." I told him and looked away. The ceremonies with all the colors that we had created. But, I didn't like the parties. The ones that the royal families threw when ever the government had an important change. With Jerome promoted to Vice president. And Dakota welcomed to the commanders with his super visor. The higher ups were becoming more and more filled. It was a good and bad thing I thought. For what if one day we pinned ourselves at each other. Not like they would win though, not that I would be replaced either. Since I'd never grow old, since I'd never die any time soon. Somehow I think I'd only be replaced when my mind finally gave in to insanity.

"Even though that's your boyfriend, your ditching the party dedicated to him."

"And Dakota, and Reits." I pointed out scratching the back of my head. I looked at Devious, "I half expected you to be Allen."

"Oh no, he's at the party covering your ass, you should probably apologize. Sometimes you don't realize how important it is for you to be there. You love him don't you?" I lowered my eyes.

"Love, is such a strong word" Devious starred at me.

"I guess it would be hard for a Demon to understand, but you have  to remember you were raised HUMAN."

"Your  one to talk, you aren't even a true being. Your a manifest of emotions." I snapped at him flailing my arms out.

"That doesn't make what I see right and wrong different, Damu! Think about how all of them feel, stop thinking about yourself for once. What do the children think when their so called President never shows up, and is never there. Their hearts will grow cold, and it'll be your fault." Exactly, the voices told me I was doing it wrong. As I got back on the cliff and came down to my knee's. I clapped my hands together in a praying position. Devious looked at me slightly confused.

"Denki, give me strength in all I wish. Give me hope, give me praise, and give me the little things I don't deserve. Call to me, and let me know how much I can be, how much I can do. And how much Damage I can cause." The words flew out from my memory. The memory of my deathbed, of my first death, of all of it, the start of all of it. "I am cursed, but let me move, I am trouble, but let me try." I finished and opened my eyes looking at Devious. Standing up as the wind moved through my hair. The words of oath, and the words I sometime consulted to myself in the strangest of ways. Devious walked over to me and placed a cold hand on my shoulder.

"Just go, you know how much it means to them." He vanished into a thin mist. As I sighed, and turned the other way. How many times would I have to remember. How many times would I, the Demon, torture herself until her soul burns in a place worse then hell? I certainly existed, because I was in it at this very moment. My converse shoes pressed against the ground as I walked down the hill. Maybe, if I visited the Dragon King. Maybe if I consulted Talbot. Maybe I could tell them of my pain, of how they let us live here for a reason and I was not forsaking that reason for anything. My eyes flickered, smoothing my fingers around the ring. The ring I still wore, I wore, because it finally fit, because it was there in my room. Telling me how I had given up my heart, and how it wouldn't be possible to get it back. It wouldn't be possible, to give something up that I didn't have.

The forest was quiet, as was the lake. My reflection in the water only showing the signs of who I was. As I dipped my fingers into the liquid. Letting the droplets  float up, in a fluid motion. Then letting them drop like small rain drops. Oh how the thought of drowning plagued my mind. I sighed as I took off my shirt, revealing a black bra, and took off my pants. With black underwear. I jumped into the water, and floating in the middle of it, as I looked at the sun filtering through the top of the water. The tiny bubbles lifting up towards  the surface. I swam up to the surface and took in a deep breath. Moving my black hair back as I looked around, an idea sparked inside of my head. I smiled at myself. Well, wasn't I a genius. I quickly swam to shore and got out, laying myself and starting to warm my body so it would dry quicker.

An hour passed and I was nearly done, my finger woven against the tree's. As my creation came to life. I stood back on the lake, my feet on the water. I had built a circle around the entire lake, full of sparkling white flowers, red ones too. Gold to mix in with the colors of the academy. The circle was made of branches woven together by my  alchemy, and by my control of the elements as well. It was making a large circle around the entire lake. Which told you how fast I had gotten it done. I smiled and crossed my arms. I froze the thin upper layer of the lake. Making it stable to stand on, then pulled out my cellphone. With three missing calls from Allen. And Two missing text messages from Ashlee. I went to send a text to Ashlee and Allen. Telling them to bring everyone here, when the moon rose. Closing my phone, I stuffed it in my pocket, and continued to work on it.

I had grabbed natural residents of crystals from the cliff cave. Setting them in only certain spots to shine across the water and into the sky. It took me thirty minutes just to do half the lake. As Steve, and Nacht watched from either side. Curiosity from the two creatures. The slenderman, and the five foot tall monster. As my hands scrapped across the lines of the crystals. I hummed as I worked along. This was giving them something was it. I wouldn't ever learn, but at least, I could keep myself from dragging myself under. Boring my heart into, but never trying, well now I was. Now was the hard part....the traditional cooking.

Naturally hunting had led me only to catch a few  ducks, but I had managed to snag one pheonix, and gathered a bunch of fruit and other things in gathering. Cooking over an open fire, the Duck was cooked through. The Pheonix was seasoned, and put on ice cubes to make sure it did not burn the mouths of those who ate the giant pig sized bird. That even emitted heat after being hunted. I made fruit punch fresh squeezed as I made a table made of wood and alchemy on the edge of the ice. I set out cups, as I looked back, at the finished culprit of everything. The sun was also beginning to set. As Nacht's flames vanished into the other end of the forest, and Steve came to the other end, they were probably going to be here soon. I shifted into my wolf form standing up on two legs as I put a ring of flowers on my head with a smile. As I stood in the middle of the ice a smile on my face, as the moon hit the glowing crystals. Lighting the ice in an array of colors. Hues of all sorts, making a light show. As the water glistened under the stable ice. My bi colored eyes glowing as my muzzle kept composure when they arrived. Allen and Ashlee in the front, Dakota and Daniel behind them. What looked like anger on Allen's face suddenly turned to amazement and surprise. As Ashlee's jaw nearly dropped to the ground I wagged my tail happily at their expressions.

"I don't like ceremonies, but never said I didn't like parties. I did this all myself, so, you better enjoy. Sorry, I wasn't able to provide music. I went for the all natural look." I tapped my head and flicked my ears. As I changed back to human and span around in a circle, hands on my hips. My tie moving in the wind with a smile on my face. As Mina suddenly ran out onto the ice, and slid across, landing in my stomach, Tyke followed her at a much slower pace though. Mina wrapped her arms around my waist.

"Baka" She whispered. I laughed at her and moved my hips. Dancing away as my fingers sparked in a array of colors.

"LETS SEE YOU SHOW THEM WHAT YOU GOT!" I yelled and handed  Mina a microphone I grabbed out of thin air from a portal. Speakers surrounded the lake spread out. As I moved back, and danced over to Daniel. And starred straight at him with a smile spread across my face. Watched as Mina laughed, and began singing as she always had. An amazing voice. My warm smile reaching Daniel as I looked over at Allen. Winking as my brother laughed at me and Dakota was just plain amazed by everything. I was amazed myself in fact, but not to mention tired, from making all of this.  Imagine what the clean up would be like after as well.

I stood out on the side lines and watched everyone celebrate. Eat the food I  cooked an enjoy it. As I leaned against a tree, holding Daniel's hand. As he looked down at it.

"Where'd you get the ring from?" he asked. As I looked down at it for a quick moment. Oh yeah, the ring. I smiled at it.

"Nowhere, just don't worry about it." I said as I returned my gaze to the bright display of colors. Where from all around, I could even see Lawrence and Horo enjoying themselves. Rin, and Lag with his friends. Mina sang with her band of people. Tyke there playing the guitar. As I yawned, and looked up at the night sky. The stars shining brightly against the glow of the ice in the lake. As my feet scuffled against the dirt. And something surprised the hell out of me as I looked to the sky. My mouth gaped open. At the sight I was seeing.

Three forms danced across each other in the sky. Leaving a trail of bright blue water like lines, with a mix of white ice. Wings that were iced over, and a thin frame with holes around. Yet ever so elegant, with a song that hummed along with Mina's tune. Their tails danced among each other. As my eyes sparkled with delight. Everyone turned their attention upwards. Watching the creatures far in the sky, as  they cried. Their blue forms making a weaving form as they vanished from sight I ran out onto the sight in front of Mina as she sung. We had just seen something amazing, those were Glycide Dragons. Not true dragons for they were part of the pheonix bird family, but they were icy creatures of nobility. And to see them, we were lucky. I smiled at Mina, with excitement.

"Thank Denki, and the gods that look over us" I yelled and lifted up my hand as Daniel quickly followed behind me shyly. I grabbed him by the shoulders and flickered my eyes. "We just saw something we may never see again" I told him as I slide backwards and danced against the dance floor of the ice. Moving my hips around as I hoped up. Who knew I could do something so great? Hmm, or maybe it really was a miracle of the life I lived. The heart that was  not mine. That would always belong to the one who stayed in the shadows. The crack, in my wall, at night, that I starred at.

With one last song, the dancing, and everything else drew to a close. People were beginning to leave, and the only ones left were the commanders, super visors, and my younger sister with Striker. My hands  crossed as I looked at the others.

"I'm going to guess this was last minute, but considering it was so great I'll let it slide." Allen told me. As Ashlee nodded all the same. Daniel laughed.

"Regardless it was great, doesn't matter if last minute or not, at least you didn't run off and hide." Daniel noted. As Kalen went over and patted me on the back. Mina smiled, as Striker raised his head from her shoulders of her white sparkly dress.

"And the greatest gift of all was  being able to see those Glycide Dragons. Something I had never hoped to see not here." Mina said with a smile on her face.

...and yet still my heart is taken.
